Masao Shoji Sensei passed away peacefully on January 20, 2004 at his home.

Harry Eto Sensei passed away in June of 2001. A small lesson I got from Eto Sensei. Also, Toyoda Sensei of Aikido Association of America and Aikido Association International passed away on July 4th, 2001.
George Simcox Sensei passed on Nov. 10th, 2000. His funeral was Nov. 18th. The text of the service.
George Simcox Sensei was promoted to Roku (6th) Dan on Jan. 3rd, 2000.

On Jan. 4, 1999, Kisshomaru Ueshiba Sensei, Doshu of the Aikikai, passed away. He was the son of the founder of aikido, Morihei Ueshiba O-Sensei. (The Ki Society is not affiliated with the Aikikai.)

HILO KI-AIKIDO CLUB announced that Takashi Nanoka Sensei was promoted by Tohei Sensei to 8th dan at the Kagami Biraki in January. Harry Eto Sensei of Aloha Ki Society has also apparently been promoted to 8th dan. Congratulations to both Sensei. (3/98)
