The Calgary Ki Society is a registered non-profit society established in 1974 to spread Ki Principles and Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido as taught by Koichi Tohei Sensei, Founder of the Ki Society International. The Calgary Ki Society is affiliated with the Northwest Ki Federation (Oregon Ki Society, U.S.A.) and the Ki Society International (Ki No Kenkyukai, Japan).

The Calgary Ki Society is headed by James Angevine, who holds a 5th degree black belt in Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido and is an Assistant Lecturer with the Ki Society International. He has been training aikido for over 25 years, and teaching for over 20 years.
